Our tips for the neighborhood ‘De Pijp’ in Amsterdam

Sticks and Stones is located in the center of the hip and happening neighbourhood de Pijp. This is the area where you’ll find lots of shops, restaurants and bars to enjoy the whole weekend. Why don’t you join us on a short tour around our neighbourhood?

Where to shop

Your visit to de Pijp district won’t be complete of you didn’t experience the colourful stalls at the Albert Cuyp market. Stroll past the street food stands or shop for some cheese, flowers or clothes.

Continue your shopping day around the shopping streets Ceintuurbaan and Ferdinand Bolstraat and make sure you step inside Zilch and Moise for a new outfit. After a serious day of shopping, the Sarphatipark is the perfect place to rest and enjoy some fresh air.

Where to eat

Our store is right across the street of Coffee & Coconuts. This is the place you want to be if you’re looking for a laidback atmosphere, a trendy interior and the best coffee in town. And when you’re there, you should definitely try out their delicious coconut pancakes.

After work we often like to take our time to sit down to enjoy diner. There are a lot of restaurants around, that serve good food and great wine. Restaurant Volt and Par Hasard are two or our all time favourites.

Where to go out

De Pijp area offers dozens of nice bars and pubs. Brouwerij Troost is the second largest craft brewery in Amsterdam, it’s built inside of a renovated monastery. More of a wine type of person? Have a glass of organic wine at Glou Glou. In summer time you can outside sit at their gorgeous terrace. Close your night out with a cocktail and a midnight snack at the hipster bar Venster 33.
